Essential details of Flexible Claw Coupling

  1. Modular C omponents
    It is composed of two high-strength metal wheels (aluminum or steel) and an elastic buffer element in the middle. The split design is convenient for rapid installation and maintenance.
    Elastic elements are made of polyurethane (T-PUR®) or styrene butadiene rubber, which transmit torque and absorb impact loads by compressive loading.

  2. Elastomer buffer system ‌

    Elastic body hardness optional range: Shore hardness 50A-95A, to meet the torsional stiffness requirements of different working conditions.
    The polyurethane material is oil resistant and corrosion resistant, and the temperature range of styrene butene rubber is -30℃ to +100℃. It is suitable for extreme environments such as metallurgy and ships.

Product Overview of Flexible Claw Coupling

Flexible claw coupling is a mechanical connection device that transmits torque through elastic elements (such as polyurethane, styrene butene rubber), which can effectively compensate axial, radial and angular deviations (±1.5°-3°). Its core structure is composed of two metal wheels and elastic buffer elements, which has both high bearing capacity and dynamic vibration reduction performance. It is suitable for industrial scenarios with high impact load and low accuracy requirements for installation.

  1. Dynamic buffer to reduce vibration

    Elastomer elements, such as T-PUR® polyurethane, absorb the instantaneous impact load during start-up and shutdown, reducing the vibration amplitude of the drivetrain by more than 60%.

    Stress is dispersed through elastomer deformation to avoid bearing wear and gear damage.

  2. Multiway bias compensation ‌

    Axial displacement (±3mm), radial displacement (±2mm) and Angle deviation (±1.5°-5°) can be compensated, reducing the installation accuracy requirements.
    Split design supports sliding seat adjustment for fast axial alignment.

  3. Extreme condition adaptation ‌

    Elastic body temperature range of -30℃ to +100℃, anti-oil, anti-corrosion, suitable for metallurgical rolling mill, tunnel boring machine and other harsh environment.
    The wheel is anodized or galvanized, and the resistance to salt spray corrosion meets ISO 9227 standard.

  4. Maintenance-free long life ‌

    Elastic elements can be replaced individually without removing hub or moving equipment, reducing maintenance time by 70%.
